DE LOS CONGRESOS PREOLIMPICOS AL ICSEMIS 2012 ICSEMIS (International Convention of Sciences, Medicine and Education in Sports) Introduction to ICSEMIS Everyone knows about the Olympic Games … most people know about the Paralympic Games … some know about the Cultural Olympiad … and more and more are learning about the associated scientific Convention or, to give it its full name, the International Convention on Science, Education and Medicine in Sport (ICSEMIS). The first ICSEMIS was held in Guangzhou, China in 2008 just prior to the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games. In addition to drawing in delegates from over 70 countries, it has attracted delegates from 71 UK Universities and colleges and from some of the world’s most prestigious universities including Yale, Harvard and MIT.
